Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 18. The maximum age to rent a vehicle is 75. An underage fee of 25.00 USD per day, plus tax will apply for renters ages 18-21. We will not offer a car rental to anyone under the age 18. There are no exceptions allowed. All renters must present an official ID (Visa or Passport, INE for Mexican Citizens).
Directions
*GENERAL DIRECTIONS* Airport Terminal Instructions AIRLINE PASSENGERS Terminal 1 - Customer may go directly to courtesy bus located outside baggage claim. Runs continuously. Car lot located less than half mile from the terminal. Terminal 2 - Customer must go to counter, just after baggage claim area, they will be shuttled to the office at the parking lot which is less than a quarter mile from the terminal. COUNTER: A shuttle is available to transport customers to the terminal. The airport is open 24 hours daily. CARS: On-site. RETURNS: Follow signs to the rental car facility to return the vehicle. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Not allowed.
Driver's License Requirements
A valid drivers license from country of residence and passport must be presented in person at the time of rental. It must be a government-issued document. International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet.
Travel Into Other Countries
Cars can be returned to other Budget locations within this country based on car availability. All locations in Mexico allow cars on the ferry ONLY to travel to Cozumel. Cars are permitted outside of Mexico with the following restrictions: No cross border into South America or Central America. Travel into the U.S. is permitted. A special protection is required with an additional cost of 200.00 MEP plus tax per day. Cross border travel to the United States is not available in some locations, it is mandatory to notify the location for prior authorization. Cross border travel to Central and South America is not permitted. Vehicles are not available for one-way rentals outside this country. Check with the location upon arrival for additional details.
